I agree with much of this guy's statements.
Doctors for Sensible Gun Laws
"first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.

So, let's all start eating organically grown foods that use animals to pull the plows. Of course over half the population of the earth would likely starve to death. But hey, that would take care of population density.

As doc will agree, Dr. Hyman knows what he is talking about.

The American diet is largely $%&T.

5 or 6 years ago, I was diagnosed with diabetes. I have things down
to pre-diabetic levels with an A1C of around 6 or so. No medicine. No
insulin. Diet and exercise.

Before I was diagnosed, I was told that pretzels were a healthy snack,
and that I should reduce fat to keep triglycerides under control. By
a doctor! Most doctors are drooling idiots when it comes to nutrition.
It's simply not a focus of their training.

I learned that pretzels are an awful snack, and natural fats are actually
good for you. I changed what I eat and how I eat. Very little processed stuff now.
Only complex carbs. Lots of veggies. Grass-fed beef whenever possible when I
eat beef. I cook mostly from scratch, and am careful what I eat when I eat out.

NO sugar, and absolutely NO CORN SYRUP. That stuff is an addictive poison that the
body has trouble processing. It's addictive AND 40% of the cost of cane sugar, which
is why corporations use so much of it. Nothing natural or healthy about it. The corn
lobby is one of the most powerful lobbies in the nation. Their headquarters, last I
knew, was on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC. Corn-derived alcohol added to
your gasoline really doesn't do much to reduce pollution, and it isn't profitable to
produce. But Big Agra gets subsidized by Uncle Sugar to do it, so the shareholders
are happy. In the interests of health, the stuff oughta be outlawed by the FDA, but
that organization was bought and sold a LONG time ago........

Rant off for now..... I could go on and on, but eat locally raised, fresh foods to
improve you health.

Playing devils advocate remember the old saying. Eat right, exercise, die anyway. Mom like to smoke. But stopped because it was good for her. Later she developed ovarian cancer, runs in the family. When told it was un-treatable (you know doctors don't even look for such things in the elderly) when diagnosed she started smoking again. I can hear the gasp from the crowd from here. But as she put it, I'm going to die, I might at least enjoy what time I have left.

I've mostly put my health at a top priority......we are all gonna die.....it's how you live up to that point is the deciding factor on your quality of life......who wants to sit in a chair watching TV for 20 years until you kick the bucket?

Coming from an Italian family and marrying into another resulted in me consuming the Mediterranean diet for 66 years....yesterday I shoveled 3500 pounds of stone non stop in 90 degree heat and while I sweated and my heart raced, I felt fine.

Was a beer consumer in my early years..too much...got winded easy and I'd still be doing it today if I could stop at 2------006

Between food allergies and genetically missing enzymes in the liver, my eating is what makes nutritionists ask how I am alive. I get deathly ill from a lot of the things that are healthy. If I avoid sugar, I am pretty much OK. Many vegetables cause me to either throw up to the point of causing bleeding in my esophagus, or they turn the whites of my eyes brownish yellow. Bell Pepper makes my lips swell and itch. Carrots run my blood sugar up faster than plain white sugar in equal volume.
The weird thing is that I have been vaccinated against Hepatitis B twice and been given booster shots to no effect whatsoever. Same with Bubonic Plague. No measurable reaction to the vaccines. I ate at a reasaurant several years ago that ended with being down because everyone but me got Hepatitis C during a 2 week time span which one ill employee infected everyone. Out of several hundred infected, I was the only one who did not get it. Feed me healthy food and you will kill me, but try to infect me with Hepatitis or Bubonic Plague and nothing happens.
Two first degree relatives have Celiac disease. I eat bread once a week or less, and never drink beer. Both make my legs itch to the point that I scratch myself bloody if i partake.
