Bought another leveraction, yesterday, etc.

Post by Lastmohecken »

Since I am retired, maybe I have too much time on my hands, or something.
I have been splitting and hauling wood, the last few days, but but still been on ebay too much, buying axes. I love axes, bought a Kelly Perfect double bit, and a 2 Kelly single bits lately, and a Collins crusier double bit, and put handles in a few others. The Hardware store have been getting my money for ax handles and hammer handles. Then I went to my local friend/leather smith, to get a strap lengthened on a big leather covered canteen I have been using in the woods when I go after wood. and low and behold, he has just traded for a Marlin 39, made in the 50's. Good looking rifle, so I agreed to buy it.

I needed another .22 like another hole in the head. Oh well, I guess it will just have to join the herd.

A .22lr is never a bad purchase. Hope it is fun for you.

sounds like the Model 39 will be in good company with the axes, etc. they both deserve each other :)

It happens. You can't go wrong with a 39.
