Latest rifle

Post by hondo1892 »

Recently finished up this .54 rifle. It is sporting a custom barrel from Ed Rayle that is 43" long. I built this rifle like it was made from recycled parts from several different guns. Maybe some back woodsman had collected parts from broken guns picked up from skirmishes with native Americans and an old worn rifle he had that needed much tlc. Take it to a gunsmith and have a new well kind of new rifle made. I started off thinking I would keep this one for myself but looks like it will be moving on down the line. I always need the money more than the gun it seems.

Looks a bit like the Isaac Haines 54 flinter I used to have . One I had was made by the brother in law of the Getz barrel guy and of course had a Getz swamped barrel . Always heard great things about Ed Rayle barrels but never had one . Anyway again you’re making me want another Contemporary Longrifle AGAIN LOL’s .
