Wow - this Colt '1911' looks JUST like a Taurus PT-92....

Post by AJMD429 »

....well, except for the slide.....https://youtu.be/W1t5JyfdmwA - they called it the 'Vektor'.

One of the reasons I like the Taurus PT-92 better than the Beretta is that the safety is like a 1911 instead of like the Beretta.

I wonder if it weren't during the 10-round magazine limit, if it would have done better.

They just needed another John Browning to design a handgun for them!

I honestly prefer a CZ-75. Not only because you can see the Browning Hi-Power influence, but I never liked the feel of the Beretta in my hand. That is just me. Am I knocking the Beretta and others? No.

Someday I want to try a CZ-75 or similar design. (...like I really need another handgun...)

I think CZ makes a 10mm, so I guess if I go hiking in Bear Country, that could be an excuse... :D

(...of course my Redhawk in 45 Colt would be too wimpy to stop a bear, and not enough shots in case it was a whole herd of them...)

RIA makes a 10mm. Nicely made and accurate as you could ask for.

The CZ75 is a gun I owned previously, and one I severely regret ever selling. Not only one of the most accurate 9mm handguns I ever owned, but it digested any 9mm load without a hiccup! And because I have large hands it fit me extremely well. I sold it because I was really into S&W handguns, and felt I didn't need the CZ75 anymore. What a mistake. I love my S&W 59, but the CZ just edged it out by a small margin.

It would take some getting used to, it just dont look right to me. But as long as works it'd be ok.
