Prayer request

Post by Rusty »

If y'all could please remember Jeff Quinn AKA Mr. Gunblast in your prayers the family would appreciate it. A few days ago Jeff had to have his right leg amputated below the knee. He has been having other problems as well where his doc told him, no more heavy recoiling rifles from his left shoulder. He seems to have damaged the vascular system in that arm after all the recoil he has put it through. He is in good spirits and should be transferred to a rehab facility in a week or so.

I would be glad to add him to my prayer list. Having a leg amputated cannot be enjoyable, but it should still let him enjoy handguns. I hope he continues to look at the bright side as he did when he was in the hospital a while back.

Prayer up for Jeff. He really is a fighter. I hope the "ghost pains" go away ahead of schedule.

In some of Clive Cussler's books, one character has a leg that was taken off by a bomb or some such incident. The character keeps a gun in the false leg. I wonder if Jeff might want to consider such an idea. It might be a fun exercise in creative thinking.

UPDATE 6/23/20

His wife checked him into the nursing home today. There's more to come.

The Nursing home is in Dover, Tn right next to his dialysis clinic where he needs to go 3 times a week.

I spoke with him today and told him people were praying for him.
His health is fragile.
His is feeling ...I guess "unsettled" would be a good word .. which I feel is normal after enduring what he has gone through. And of course he is quite medicated which can make the emotions go wonky.
He is starting rehab and hopefully that will help.
Your prayers really do help!
