would the 24" barrel on this 22 lr rifle make it any quieter than one of their shorter versions? noticed this version has a threaded barrel for accessories, the others didn't.

The longer barrels are quieter. I have a 60s Remington bolt action with a 24" and it's noticeably quieter than some of my other guns. With CCI Subsonic ammo it sounds like a pellet gun.

Thanks,larkbill,I was thinking a suppressed 24" barrel would be quite long. getting pellet gun quiet without going NFA sounds good (no pun intended), looking for small game gun that won't disturb late sleepers in the neighborhood.
