Adjusted Rossi for things that go bump in the night.
Finally, got this project finished. A Rossi .44 Mag ceracoated, barrel and mag tube cut and threaded, 1892 rail installed with a solar-powered 2 MOA red dot, and a Rugged Obsidian .45 ACP Suppressor (rated for .458 SOCOM light mount not on it yet.) Released yesterday from ATF Jail. Sighted it in with .44 Special 240 semi jacked soft point between 800-900 FPS at 50 yards, VERY QUIET.

Dang...I like that look...pretty snazzy. The coating sure gives it a unique and militarized look.....I also like how you kept the loading gate blued...good contrast.---6

Slick....!
I'd love to make one with an integrally-suppressed barrel. You would have to swerve the magazine tube a bit but I think that would be ok. Have to see how bullet-nose-vs-primer lines up, or use a box-magazine gun.

Nice, but you might find that bullet not expanding at those velocities. Speer gold dots in 200 grains will, few others. If you don't care if it expands or not you might be as well served with a decent flatpoint cast.

It reminds me of my 'Night Scout' leverguns - https://levergunscommunity.org/viewtopi ... 55#p859855
...and Henry's new offering - https://youtu.be/w5gjoDqThm8
Certainly, if fecal matter is hitting the ventilator system, I may grab a light AR-15 in 223 or 300 BO, or if the fecal matter is heavier than average, I may grab an M1A and/or Saiga-12, but with day-to-day poop, there isn't much a 357 Mag, 44 Mag, 45 Colt, 44-40, or 454 Casull levergun with an 8 to 12 round magazine, set up for twilight/night shooting, can handle.

Once a few things get squared away around here Inhave had visions of a 12-14 inch Rossi 92 in 45 colt threaded for my silencerco hybrid (that is still in NFA paperwork netherworld). I am still looking for the right Rossi to start the conversion( means a cheap used one). How long did the paperwork take for you?

One advantage of 45 colt if you like jacketed bullets is using 45 acp bullets. Speer gold dot in 200, 230, also the 45 colt's 250 grain, and the remington golden sabre 230grain all seem to do well expansion wise and penetrate well through +P power, aka 1000fps. Probably has the best range of subsonic bullets in handgun calibres

I submitted the paperwork in November 2019 and got it back in May 2020.
