I have an answer for you... 50 cal ammo boxes.
I also have been spending time with my reloading equipment unfortunately today’s experiment was not a good result. Leaded barrel in a redhawk and a Blackhawk. Trying to help a buddy out but he bought soft(bh12) bevel base .429 not .430 bullets for a 44 mag.

I’m a bit anal about rifle and pistol loads as I prefer them all in MTM boxes . Specific shotgun loads are usually loaded in 25-30 round groups and kept in shell boxes . However Skeet/trap/dove/quail reloads for the 12 , 20 , 28 and 410 are typically stored in 5 gallon buckets .

No fordwannabe- 20MM cans!

Resealable containers for sure, I've got a 50 cal can full of 40 short&tweak, I keep my 223 in 100 round battle packs I made from vacuum sealer bags, what ever works I suppose.

Eventually you can run out of those too! Right now I'm hurting for empties. I have 18 of them stacked 3 high in an outside shed, anywhere from half full to completely full. One is currently empty, The MEC 650 shotshell that gets stored in that one is currently in place on the loading bench. Then there's the shelves in the loading room with 20+ of the clear plastic nut jars from Costco, about 50/50 with brass and loaded ammunition for 38/357, 45ACP and 30-30
