That is refreshing! I have to wonder how CT got away with forcing people get a permit to buy a gun or ammo. Constitution state it isn't anymore!

I wonder if it will be appealed?

The Politicos realize such laws are against the constitution and that eventually they will get overturned, but it takes years for them to run the system. When it gets found unconstitutional, they will create some other stupid law to fill in the gap.

After the shootings in San Francisco at 101 California Street a lawyers’ group – the Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence (LCPGV) -- was formed to enact legislation and legal action against firearms and ammunition manufactures, dealers, etc.

One of their strategies was/is that pro-firearms groups will file law lawsuits to fight anti-firearms laws, restrictions, etc. And as one lawyer stated, they will keep passing such legislation to eventually financially break the manufacturers, pro-firearms groups. Simply put, the cities, states, counties that enact such legislation have unlimited funds and resources from the tax payers. Those opposing such legislation must rely upon yearly membership fees, donations, etc.

For those Not-In-The-Know about the 101 California Street shooting:

hate to bring ants to the picnic, but:

"California: 9th Circuit Issues Stay, Reinstating Ammo Restrictions

"Late Friday [4/24/2020] night (9:46pm), the following order came out from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, granting a temporary stay on the injunction issued on Thursday, April 24, in the NRA funded case of Rhode v. Becerra. This means that the same restrictions that have been previously in effect regarding ammunition in California are back for the time being, pending further order from the court. "

I'm assuming this means counties, like the one I live in can't stop mail order ammo sales as they have done for years. Be interesting to see how local laws of this type are effected.
