Owl update

Haven`t seen the owl much so was getting worried, put camera and flashlight on a long stick and took a look.
Three eggs in there so they either are no good or she`s been out feeding.

It`s looking like she abandoned the eggs, haven`t seen or heard them for four days. :(
I recon the eggs are no good, in the cold night temps i`m sure they are goners.

You could candle them. Perhaps if they had new bedding they would try again?

The eggs are no good,we cleaned the house and put new bedding in it and will hope for the best.

Did you see a pair? Might be the female just laid eggs without a mate. Or they weren't comfortable being so close to your house? Shame no matter what.

Heck we even seen them making whoopy in the trees Gunny, only seen him bring food twice maybe he`s a lazy bum. :lol:
There wasn`t much sign of leftovers in the nest so maybe she got so hungry she had to get off the nest to go hunt and the eggs froze.
I heard one hooten close by at 4 AM this morn so maybe she`ll give it another go. :)
