I bought it years ago it looks hand made but I have no knowledge of where it came from. It was shaped more like a battle axe but I filed it down more like a hawk.

I was never a buyer of Chinese goods unless absolutely forced to, always paid up for made in the U.S.A. Now after this virus they sent , I wont feel forced to, I'll just go without. Pitchy I really like that gobble forge hawk, good luck with it.
How long is the handle on that hawk?

Hawks are lots of fun! Haven't thrown one in a long time!! When I lived in Colorado I coached a team of local kids in shooting/ orienteering- those kids could throw a hawk! The kid that was more impressive was the 10 yr old with flint & steel- literally he could get flames in seconds!

In the Reading Pa area there are axe throwing leagues and competitions(though they are actually throwing hatchets).

Ed Ames, he played Mingo in Daniel Boone, was on the Tonight Show once. Carson had him throw a Tomahawk. It was at a human shaped target and the hawk stuck just about where the top of the inside leg would be. Carson joked about Ames performing a Bris on the target.

I was passing through a small town in Utah and there was a bar next to my motel that had tomahawk throwing; kinda like darts but with more danger
Now the throwing is fun and I have been known to toss back some liquid entertainment now and then but I don't think I want to do both at the same time. When I was younger I always liked throwing hawks and still have a few but arthritis has taken the joy out of throwing them. I do see hawk throwing competition on one of the ESPN channels every so often. Those guys are really accurate (high value targets are the size of a quarter) but like most things, once you set up a bunch of rules, it takes the fun out of it.
