Ground Hog says an early Spring. I never sausage a thing. That little guy is a real ham. That probably means we will soon be sizzling again here in Texas, and bacon in the heat.

30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Could be... here in sunny Central Oregon we hit 60 on the last day of January. First Spring runoff started on the 29th which is about 3 weeks earlier than "long-term average". But no hurry: Spring around here comes in only two flavors -- dusty/windy or muddy/windy. It's been the muddy/windy version so far but that can change quickly.

Looks like Spring is showing her face in Denver today. Supposed to be 72 degrees ( and near 80 on the eastern border with Kansas). Course, its supposed to be -1 on Wednesday morning too, with snow starting tomorrow!!

They're crying drought again here. Mind you, these are the same folks that destroyed dams and diverted water from populated areas. I think we need to take a vote. All who want to destroy dams and diverts water from cities should have a limit of two gallons of water per day. Enough to live, but that's it. The rest of us can then have more than enough water for our needs.

I've been through Punxsutawney a few times and "Groundhog Day" is one of my favorite movies. It also became my favorite holiday. Five years ago today, I was released from the hospital after a four+ month stay from a respiratory infection that almost killed me. Look up ARDS if you're interested. Scary stuff.
Just happy to be here these days.
