Another Mule Deer Buck With The Lever Action

Post by Shrapnel »

This time my son shot his buck with his Montana Centennial 1886 in 45-70. I have been shooting one for years and it has been a favorite of his. He shot a nice deer with mine several years ago. This year we got him his own and he used it on this buck...

Nice Buck, and fine gun also. I am a fan of the 1886 Win Also.

Nice deer and nice gun. I like the .45-70 cartridge. It does the job as long as the person on the trigger does their part.

outstanding ! have a browning 1886 that is my number one favorite rifle. great job son and dad !

was just down in bozeman last week and my daughter got her 2nd deer, a whitetail buck, but we were in a shotgun only area [ used a savage 220 rifled 20 gauge bolt action ]…..she did hunt with a Winchester 356 in a rifle area but didn't get a shot. its a bigger thrill to me to see a young person hunt than to shoot something myself.

way to go !!!!

In my opinion, that is hunting at its best. Congratulations.
