I hear ya Griff! You had 86 easily...

I know there is nothing wrong with my rifle, it always shot good past 100, in Colorado it would shoot better at 200 than 100. Maybe the THICK air here is the ticket? Got cases annealed last night. Looked at a few places for brass- Graffs,Brownells,Cabelas, and no one has 257 brass in stock. Might have to buy factory ammo to replace my stash.

Well boss says no work today- good I can do the water leak without having to stress about it.

It's foggy here, maybe 150 yards of visibility.

Got 5 chip skunks and 1 mouse yesterday !

Well I fixed the water leak, took longer to drain the lines than it did to slap in 3 fittings and PEX tubing.
Then I noticed the backup fridge is warm! Aw shucks... it is 24 years old. Clean it out & unplug it.

Hey Six,
If it is just one set of brakes that are down, and you don't have a lot of miles, a caliper may be dragging.
Happened to my truck last summer. I left it outside while we were gone to Alaska last summer. The drivers side was facing south and we got a lot of rain. It rusted the sliders just enough so they wouldn't return all the way. Dragged just enough so you couldn't really feel it but wore them out over the summer.
"Oh bother", said Pooh, as he chambered another round.

Yep, what I found on my wife's p/u last year. Left rear brake caliber wasn't working. I ended up replacing both back brakes to ensure even braking.

DO NOT BEND the soft brake lines( if it has them) when working on the brakes! I did fronts on my 07 and the calipers are so heavy I flipped it up on a bucket to take the weight off- well that line was eroded away inside and a hunk of it stuck in the caliper- wrecked the rotor too when it stuck !

Just went to get the mail,

Those are ants, weren't there on Saturday ! Now they are all DEAD!
I put an ant trap in but decided that was going to take too long so I gave a nice long burst of RAID inside & shut the door. A minute later and DRT.

Ha! The Gunny ant motel...you can check in but you can't check out......you know, kinda like Old Savages California no-tell motel song..... :D

Well thank you gentlemen on the brake issues......when you haven't done them for awhile it's like learning all over again...I know, don't laugh but it can be stressful. Just glad we don't need the Jeep for work. I'm losing it...was a time I'd pull motors out in the evening...clean em up and have them put back in in a few weeks......about 2-300 beers later.

Getting lazy in the mind.....

But....but.....yes, I have a Guardian Angel...always did.....told you guys about the story about the rock in the river....anyway.....

I cruise on down to Brandywine Auto Parts in the Rubi...get the best brakes they had plus $75 worth of PB Blaster, ethanol treatment, brake cleaner...you get it.....got moms Jeep in the garage, popped off the wheels and complete the left front when I hear, "yo Jack you there?" I look out of the garage and there is standing Chad the Ace #1 mechanic.....this guy has more money in tools than I have in guns......we bs about two guns he brought over for me to clean and inspect....a 39 Smith 9mm and an old pellet gun that needs seals........(he called a few weeks ago about the guns but I forgot).....

He see the Jeep on jack stands and asks...I tell him about the ABS light..blah blah....he just happened to have his computer sensor thingy with him.. :D ...he hooks it up and the problem is the left rear wheel speed sensor. He told me what to do as to cleaning etc and if there's a problem he is will fix it when he comes back to pick up the guns... :D

What's the chances of that happening right when I'm in the middle of working on it?

Good deal Jack. Glad your bud had the reader with him. Saves a lot of headache. And missed diagnosi(sp?).

I had my own car (well, ok truck) deal today. I noticed my back fenders were faded and very dull a few weeks ago. Asked the neighbor (boat dealer), what he recommended for fiberglass polish. He hands me a bottle and sez, "...here try this, tell me how YOU like it!"

I was going to do it last Friday, but... the weather did cooperate the last few days. So today, I got started after the weather cleared off. I'll finish up tomorrow!

Those weren't fire ants, were they? Fire ants have got alll over the place anymore. They are actually a type of wasp that doesn't grow wings. They look like ants, but they have stingers in their tails. They bite and sting at the same time. Attacking with both ends. I really hate them.

Of course it was the probability that was 100% because it had already happened. The mechanism/cause ... certainly open to speculation.

,,,!! You remind me of my grandparents....soon as I'd walk in the room they start talking Italian.....same thing with my wife...her parents and allllll of the uncle and aunts would all be talking Italian....my mom would cuss out my dad in German............only other language I know is pig Latin.

Then you got these physicists and nuclear engineers like Piller and Old Savage......they are speaking English but it's so far over my head they might as well be speaking Mandarin Chinese!

What is is synco stuff? Only big words I can use is "coincidental"...or dumb luck.....but I sure do get a lot of it....some of the finest Winchesters and Colts have been delivered to my door without me even looking for them. I sometimes wonder if I made a deal with the devil and pre sold my soul.

Last week I took the Merwin & Hulbert 44-40 to the gunsmith to have a firing pin made...he called me up today to ask some questions and one was "I've never seen anyone who comes up with the stuff you do....what do you have, some back door to a museum?--- :D 6

The brakes work great but the light came back on.....got to get a speed sensor.

Quantum physics is based on the strangeness that we can know the exact spot where an electron happens to be, but it does not have to follow time as we know it. It may be exactly where we know it is, but it may be in the future or in the past. If that doesn't make you a little crazy, then you have an unusual liking for physics.

Scottish Gaelic is easier to understand with at least a pint of Scotch in you. That language was formalized when they got 2 separate groups rip roaring drunk. Group 1 was given the task of coming up with the spellings. Group 2 was given the task of coming up with how the letters and words were to be pronounced. Group 3 were the people who had to come up with the grammar and punctuation. All that we know about them is they committed suicide. By drinking themselves to death! It is not wise to talk much about group 3. Their drunken ghosts will try to haunt you if they find out that you talked about them. Uh Oh! I think I just smelled Haggis and Scottish Whisky!

Griff the fenders do look better but that ding and missing paint is quite an eyesore!

Woke up and Claro and Parker were both laying on top of my left arm- elbow hurts !

Just cut the wheel sensor wires, put a piece of black tape over the idiot light and all is well! :D

Fog again this morning, thicker than it was yesterday.

Water leak all fixed yesterday, today the old & tired fridge goes- my garbage company comes through again. This company is great!

It may be exactly where we know it is, but it may be in the future or in the past. If that doesn't make you a little crazy, then you have an unusual liking for physics.
If your bored at home, the icecube experiment is also very interesting.

Quantum entanglement deals with the idea that two subatomic particles that were once joined when split apart are always somehow connected and possibly interactive no matter the distance. This is involved in explaining things happening at the same time at different places.

I've picked up a lot of languages (from work) but I've never heard Scottish and I think I know why, just try to pronounce that c...p. :o

I've not heard it either, except once or twice in movies... and for all I know that was Irish. One of my favorite books is the complete works of Robert Burns, published in the 1870's from my Grandfather, a gift to his father from his father's father-in-law. It's not written in Gaelic, but is in the vernacular of the time, err... slang! Quite different than today's or even from the late 1950's when I first read it! I don't think I've ever pronounced some of the words correctly!!! :D

It's kind of a long story but the person who gave me my first dog recently died at 101. I was the closest thing she had to a relative we've kept in touch.
She told me look through the house completely if there is anything you want take it. I mean I do have the Silver Dollar her husband kept in is shoe from his experiences in the great depression but other then the pitchfork in the garage ;)
She had all this documentation going back several generations with what I guess would be marriage licenses, land ownership, etc etc.
It was interesting it was however nothing to do with my family or history so it might have all gone up in flames when the house was sold.
We are not talking one box here..
I have a 501(c)3 foundation, trust me I don't need anymore paperwork.
What I need is someone to scan it, I'm not saying free, I'm working on finding that.

There is something unseen, behind the scenes that arranges occurrences and events that are the same or seemingly connected ... by what means, to what purpose?

An operative intelligence works through means unseen and not understood. This can work out quickly or over years. If you pay attention to it, it shows itself more often.

I hope you don't get them. They have a nasty disposition. They could rival Slick Willie's wife at her worst for being truly unpleasant.

I remember Quark. It was a cereal. There was also Quisp. Sounded like you had a speech impediment.
