That is good music. My favorite is still Danny Davis performing that song, but fiddle players can do a great job on it, too. https://youtu.be/L2otspZYTOE

That is the most beautiful woman in bluegrass music today! I got to see her bus one time in Yeehaw Junction, Fl When I pulled in at the Pilot stop there. They were fueling up and I was just getting a sandwich. I didn't feel right invading her privacy so I didn't interfere. After all that is her home away from home.

She and that brunette are easy on the eyes. Easy on the ears with their fiddles, too.

There are talented young folk out there turning bluegrass on it's head with new styles, newgrass, 'gangsta' grass, and so on.

I'm not a traditionalist, and hearing a group tearing into their version of something by Coldplay is a joy.

When it came time to name a soon to be born son, the father, an ardent bluegrass fan nominated "Vassar", thinking of the famous fiddler Vassar Clements.

The baby momma asked with a perplexed expression, "why would you name him after a women's college ?"

The dad tried to explain the bluegrass significance.

The woman commented, "I don't like bluegrass !"

They were estranged before the birth and divorced not long afterwards.

Nineteen years and just under $96,000 in child support followed.

The boy is not at all musical but listens to rap/hip hop.

I've always been impressed by Rhonda Vincent, but about the only place I've seen her is on RFD TV, a rural/farm community based TV station. I've seen her with her brother and I was most impressed with her Gospel music...

A few years ago our middle-aged to geezer men's sunday school class formed a string band. Everyone wanted to play guitar but we finally got a beginner banjo player and was looking for a mandolin player. We did not even try to interview and audition a fiddle player. The ones we knew sounded like a beginner bagpipe student.

I told my wife of our dilemma and she, in her blondie fashion googles mandolin players and proceeds to suggest we contact levon helm, ronnie reno, chris hillman, david grisman, jesse winchester, etc. etc......Like they would be interested.

So while she was still looking-up names on the 'net I decided to have a little fun with her and gave her a list of potential mandolin players including sierra hull, sarah jaroz, megan mullins, amanda shires, and rhonda vincent.

Ah, if looks could kill !

That megan mullins sure fills out her skin well !

Well I know that I'm a Blessed man but didn't realize just how much. We get to see/hear Rhonda nearly every year. Of the several festivals that we enjoy here in the Pine Tree State, the 2 largest have each, 2 festivals each summer. Rhonda and Rage are invited to at least one and occasionally both (when they occur on consecutive weeks. Daily and Vincent, among others, have headlined as well. I agree that Rhonda is the best looking lady/grandmother in Bluegrass. I noticed in that linc that aside from her son in law on fiddle some of the other guests were familiar to me as well. The fiddler from the "Nothing Fancy" band and if I'm not greatly mistaken, a home grown Phenom from Milo/Moskow, named Jay Smith. Of late shanghaied from the Misty Mountaineers Band. Oh, BTW, we have a winter festival also, coming up in JAN. 11 & 12 at the Presque Isle Inn & Convention Center. Reservations are going fast.
I'm so sorry for you folks who must miss out -- Roy Clark - -RIP Pepe Ray

I've never been much of a van halen fan (or any heavy metal) at all but I appreciate that both roth and hagar are not just vocalists but accomplished guitarists and blues harp players to boot.

B.T.W. that bluegrass band is john jorgensen's, once of the desert rose band.

Yes.. ish.

It's like Rap. There is a very small amount I like and the rest is either Meh or Bleah.

However, I do like me some Finnish Bluegrass Covers...
