And now for something Completely Different

Post by Old Ironsights »

So... I've recently been asked to play some tabletop Roll Playing games.

I play... Me. Transported from a Boar-Spear hog hunt with C&B backup to... Whatever Milleu the players are running.

It gets to be really interesting when I can demonstrate to the DM/players how, if they have even semi decent blacksmiths and apocatheries where "we are" I can make black powder and musket caps in relatively short order. Smoothbore barrels are easy, and button rifling only takes a few more steps. Hopkins & Allen type actions are stupidly simple.

Magic? Meh. I've got mad Alchemy and Smithy skills... And a functional knowledge of spear and sword fighting.

Bring it on Wizard Dude....

Funny thing about that Mini (and Character Sheet) - Everything that persona knows, everything it carries, is something I own and can load onto my real person.

All I need is a "Land of the Lost" or "Stargate" event and I can pull that character off anywhere.

I'd be bald, but the 'doo rag keeps the skeeters off... and the MOLLE vest with pouches is stupidly useful.

My biggest gripe with the above 3D models is that the requirements of 3D printing makes the weapons oversize unless sheathed/holstered.

Too funny will have to look for the photo of the boar spears the General of the Army in Romania showed my CO and I when he invited the CO to a hunt in 2003 when we opened a base there.

If/when I may ever play, I want to be...

Pitchy

I may not rule the kingdom, but the rulers will come to Pitchy to have all sorts of neat stuff made.
