I was out at a ranch today helping wire up a automatic stock waterier heard a commotion at the salt block by the pond got a pic of some meese a cow, calf and bull, bull was wolfing the cow. danny

Thanks for sharing the pics, I really enjoyed them. Is that bull a shooter? Looks pretty good to me but then I'm just a whitetail hunter although we had a bull elk on the place for several years. No cows, just one old bull.

MM yeah hes a pretty good bull heres a another pic of him a little bit blured but it gives you a idea of his horns.
Pete he was 50 yds away I wasnt to worried I had both my heelers at my feet and they were wanting to bite those moose, first bull and calf Ive seen in the daylight in 3 years on the ranch maybe thinning the wolves out is working. danny

Stan, my employee [ have posted pics here before of his daughters and the bears they shot ] went out for moose last week.....most everything went wrong, 4 wheelers quit, bombardier broke down, his buddy broke his wrist, etc but they finally got to the old family cabin way back there in an argo ......and an hour and half later things started to go right :

What rifle and caliber did he use on that Moose?

he often uses leverguns and the shot was justover 100 yds but he had 30/06 bolt gun with barnes 168 gr ., one shot and collapsed right there
