Who was J.M. Waterson?

Post by Yodar »

I have a very nice Trap Grade L.C. Smith side-by-side that is like new. It was made in 1924 for one J.M. Waterson. Does anyone know who Mr. Waterson was? Anybody out there a descendant of Mr. Waterson? It is my understanding that Mr. Waterson passed away shortly after taking delivery of the L.C.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks.

You did not provide enough information:

Where did Mr. Waterson live?

Once you know that, check the local newspaper obituaries archive for any information. Some newspapers have their records archived and on on-line. Others may require a hand search of the records. And some are do not exist anymore and their back issues, etc., destroyed or moved to private or public archive/library/research center.

I just noticed that the Calvin and Hobbs comic strip is done by Bill Watterson. If that's any help.

Ok, Ok you all have your fun. Be informed that the gun was sold at the Tulsa gun show so I guess the question is moot now. It is a very nice L.C. I hope it went to a good home.
