Who says lawyers don't have a sense of humor?

This is a pretty funny letter in response to a BS copyright infringement threat:

I do believe that there is at least one Lawyer whom I would have a great time talking with over a cup of coffee.

Lawsuit got filed.

Greg lost.

Greg sued his lawyer for malpractdice & won big.

Flippancy is incompatible with good lawyering.

That does not seem to be the case - at least according to Thatcher's site. His site still calls it a "awesome letter".

Perhaps you can enlighten us as to the lawsuit you cite?

Wow! Lawsuit filed, ruling by the court ("Greg lost"), malpractice suit filed, went to trial, and a ruling in favor of Greg. By the way, did you notice the date on the letter? August 23, 2013. So all of that happened in seven days? Ummmmmmmmmm, no.

I have provided my professional services to many attorneys. Well over four times the count of all my finger and toes.

While some were more amusing than others, personally, to a man they were all avaricious dirtbags.

Not much that I find amusing about lawyers any more. They damage lives and think it's funny.

I believe Shakespeare was right.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

I just found out recently, there are only 3 lawyer jokes. All the rest are true.

Many years ago there was a local lawyer that was so ethical that while he had a Porsche he worked nights as a security guard to make ends meet. I kid you not I worked for the same guard company as he did. He didn't seem to be getting rich like his fellow lawyers. And he didn't seem to mind it!

This letter did not make sense until I read this

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-23898080

http://www.npr.org/blogs/alltechconside ... the-public

Read the comments on the second one.

Apparently New Zealand saw this one coming and made patents on software invalid.
