I hate to see anyone thin their herd like that. I did it once in the early 80s and I've regretted it ever since as a lot of fine old guns that I can never replace got away.

Same here. Probably can't afford any purchases, but will be glad to look at what you post here, and maybe a friend or relative of mine might be interested in something you're selling.

Good Luck with all of it.

do you have any pictures?

i am not trying to get in ahead of anyone, but the savage 99 project gun with several barrels, the marlin 39 needing bolt, and the S&W 327 are really interesting to me
[ sent you a pm ]

couple of years back, i sold the majority of my collection because of severely declining health issues, but i am still kicking and of course, thinking of rebuilding my collection!

whatever you are facing i wish you the best and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Looked at the Savage 99 and took a few pics.
Waiting for photobucket link to show up in email.
Not a take-down model but has 20" 22HP, 22" 32-40, 24" 30-30 barrels, replacement wood, custom brass bullet mould for 22HP, some 22 canadian ammo and vintage Lyman rear target peep sight.
I know what I quoted it at is low and will make a reasonable adjustment for those on my list.
I will send out pics over the weekend after I move stuff to storage.
