Laid off and a funeral

Post by bsaride »

Tuesday I got called into the office and got the news. Manager emailed contract pulled by customer. Then the meeting. Today I will be there to support my daughters at fil funeral. I've only seen him a few times in the past 12 years since my life went south.

Yesterday I had a lousy day with a deep hole in my heart. Today is the funeral and tomorrow I start looking for a job.

I am trusting in God for all things and do not worry. Please keep me in your prayers.
Thanks,
Jay

Hey Jay,

Where are you in SoCal and what do you do? Shoot me a resume and I'll pass it around my old CPO buddies in San Diego.

Best of luck Jay!

I recently went through the unemployed thing. I goofed off for several weeks and then got serious about
getting another job. The place I landed blows the old one out of the water! I had my first sales meeting today, first time in years I left one of those without wanting to hang myself!

Fingers crossed!

Prayers sent. I am asking that you find a job in which you will be happy, the pay will be more than you expect, and that will last through your retirement years. It never hurts to be specific.

The funeral went well, one daughte spoke and did a great job of it. At the reception I was feeling bitter but the family ended up sitting at my table and they were good to me which I wasn't expecting.

Deepest sympathy for your recent misfortune; however, since your primary focus was your daughter, it sounds like you have your priorities straight!
