My mom, (87) fell and broke her hip yesterday. She had surgery this morning, and according to the doctor it went well. But a few extra prayers won't hurt. I got to visit today for a couple of hours... she slept the sleep induced by good pharmacuetical grade drugs and I watched Dr. Phil! She apologized for sleepin' and I did the" relative of a patient" thing... asked if there was anything I could get! Mom... well, God bessed her with sense of humor, she asked for a 40-year-old body! Then again, that mighta been a very practical request!

If she's related to you, she's probably pretty tough (had to be, to survive rearin' you :wink: ).

Prayers sent for your Mom.
It is good that she had surgery soon after the fall, it will heal quicker, Shirleys Mom had the same thing happen but they could not operate for a couple of weeks due to complications and it took a long time to heal.
If more men loved and cherished their wives as much as I love bacon the world would be a much better place.

Griff, glad to hear your mom's taking it well. That's a deal better than most and that helps with the recovery. Praying she heals quickly and get on with life.

WOW! Just Wow! They had her sitting up when I talked with her last nite... and they started her physical therapy today! She's already making plans for what quilts need work on to get caught up with the other ladies @ church when she gets home. Sis is flying out from OR to be of help. They're gonna keep her in the hospital for almost 2 weeks for rehab amd if she's doin' well, go home. She keeps tellin' me to stay away, I'd be "under-foot"! I think she's been talkin' with my wife! Anyway, she has a tough row, but she's got a great attitude.
