Picked up my 35

Post by Bigahh »

Been wanting a Marlin 35 Rem. for awhile. Put money down on one last week, and picked it up last night. I mounted a 3.5 x 10 Leupold for Load Developement, and will settle for a 1.5 x 5 Leupold after I find a load for it. It took awhile, but I finally found my 35, its a 1980, and the trigger is light and crisp. Almost seems someone had work done to it. A nice addition for my safe, and now its twin brother in 30-30 will not be all alone. My next step is to find an Allen wrench to turn around those factory Hammer Spurs as im left handed. I do not have one that small. Need to take a trip to the Hardware store.

Nice looking rifle!! Pretty hard to refuse a nice rifle like that one. If I ever find one that nice I think I would do the same thing.

Looks about like mine. The Marlin 336 in 35 is my primary hunting rifle these days. Good choice.

Nice rifle, the barrel band models are my favorite. Great choice on your working scope. That combo will really shines on a lever Marlin. The 1.5X is like an optical peep sight, fast and accurate up close with no eye sight issues. A real dandy hunting rifle.
