Way OT: Sun dog

Post by olyinaz »

Hope you enjoy this image of a nice sun dog I captured over San Francisco Bay the other day. It followed us in for many miles and was just lovely to watch dancing over the clouds.

When my wife and I were married our BIL flew us from WV to Fla for our honeymoon. As we headed southward we could see the shadow of the plane on the clouds below. As I looked at the shadow on the clouds I noticed there was a rainbow fully encircling the shadow of the plane.

Yes, that's a very lovely effect as well and I it's always fun to see.

Cool picture. I can remember riding the bus to high school one cold morning here in SD back in the 70s and seeing a sun dog like I'd never seen before or since. There were essentially three suns rising. The dogs were as bright as the real one and just as defined. The sun was fully up above the horizon before they faded/fuzzed out.

Oh, what does it mean?

:?:
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Thats pretty close to what I was thinking. I said to myself, "How many hits of acid did this guy do?" :D --------------------Sixgun
