Yeah, I saw one in the store yesterday. I was amazed at how thin the barrel was with that big hole in it. And even more scary, they had dovetailed the front sight in the barrel, rather than putting it on the barrel band. I like the idea of a .480 but not the way they did it.

Well, bottom line for me, is that this was shooter error. If something sounds funny or doesn't recoil right, it is time to STOP. I don't think the rifle or manufacturer should take any blame. I use Oxpho-Blue. However I think the instructions for use are not very good. They claim it works fine even with the surface having oil on it. I found that the bluing takes MUCH better if you really get that sucker clean first, like with Brownells TCE degreaser.

I have one just like that. I filed a flat bevel at the back of the front sight so I could see the thing better. However mine is kinda disappointing in accuracy, or maybe it's just me...

My point about emails, apparently I didn't get it across, is that using unencrypted email is just as bad as posting stuff in a forum. The US govt these days scans emails. You have no privacy without encryption.

I'm pretty sure Oregon Trail laser-cast bullets like to be driven fast.

I really like "Paint Your Wagon", a western musical where both Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin sing! :) Did a pretty good job of it too.
