I don't trim and I don't sort by head stamp and I often use different bullets, so I run into some issues off and on. The best thing I've done to save issues when I go to shoot, is do what Griff does. Could be a young wolf. I see quite a few lone wolf tracks here that are about that size, but mostly bigger this time of year. A mature one would be quite a bit bigger and they tend to spread their toes wider in the snow, especially when it's crusted. I would bet a dog, do you have close neighbors or...

Seems like a lot of cast rifle bullets are bore riding design. I believe the long ones that aren't bore riding tend to "slump", especially if they are soft and because of this are not accurate. Probably would have quite a bit to do with how hard your 22 caliber cast bullets are. I would th...

I don't like to give my wife advice on shooting. So she takes classes. The single biggest issue I see with 99% of the classes she takes, is that they teach how to shoot fast, but not correctly. I've used N330 in a 45ACP a bit. It's a good powder for it, but I use a lower charge weight with it than Unique. I believe that indicates it is faster burning than Unique. Good thread, interesting stuff. I can't help with the 158XTP's. But I picked up some Hornady Sub X 30 caliber bullets---Hornady says they will expand at velocities as low as 800 fps. And they do---depending on what medium they hit. Using certain small pistol primers in an AR platform should be approached with caution.
