Ranger,
See if Nate Kiowa Jones would be willing to take a look at it.
Heck, he might fix it and sell it for you - worth a try.
I expect he might chime in on this post when he sees it.

Thunder,
You might be able to sell your Marlin CB right here
I'd be interested in learning more about it - year of manufacture.

Rube, I hope you & your children really enjoy your horses. Be very careful with 'em. I'm guessing Trigger is closer to the 23 months originally suggested than he is to 12 months. His head is shaped like a mature horse. It would be unusual for a 12 month (or 18 month old) colt to have that much t...

Wow - I've read of some really nice rifles bought by members here for a pittance. This is by far the most fortunate group of shooters I've ever heard of! I wish I could tell you all about the bargain I found for $114 with four boxes of shells - but I can't. Most buyers will have to pay $1,000 or mor...

Be careful with a close fitting cover on your tractor if the cover & tractor are exposed to moisture.
Just like a firearm in a canvas case - you could inadvertently retain the moisture & promote rust.

Re: missing cartridge loops
Really good questions.
The cool factor was always in the calculus.
I'm considering having a holster & belt made.
I can't see any practical reason to have cartridge loops all the way around the belt.
I'm considering 10 loops sewn onto the off side as practical for a SAA resupply.

I'll try & post a link to a video on cleaning & polishing the bolt on a similiar type rifle.
I followed the instructions on the video and really cleaned up a bolt.

I hope the link works and is beneficial.

A heavy canvas tarp laid out where your brass lands might help.
I usually take a tarp with me to the woods where I target practice.
I use it to help police up the brass. Although I don't reload I do clean up after myself.

Just thinking about a Marlin 1893. Consider a rifle made in about 1915; the caliber is 30-30; the barrel indicates "Special Smokeless Steel", and overall the rifle appears in excellent condition. Also consider that the potential owner does not reload. Generally, would there likely be any i...
