Re: The Lyman 429667 from Western Bullet Company
Since the bullet was flying straight to the target, I decided to see how it would do with a little 'turbulence'. I sat three one-gallon jugs in a row and behind each, slipped in a scrap of 3/8 plywood. The fourth and last jug was backed an inch and a half of old, wet phone book. Behind those was ano...

The Lyman 429667 from Western Bullet Company

You can unload a Winchester, open the lever, turn it upside down and hose it out with carb cleaner, WD40 or whatever you have along. If I was in the brush for a few days I'd take a breakdown cleaning kit.

Agreed, Piller. I wasn't worried about the little dab of velocity it cost to have a much handier sixgun. The dovetail base stayed put. The weak link was the solder joint between the base and the blade. It wasn't as close a fit as I would have liked for a good high heat solder joint. What would be perfect is a dovetail base purpose built to support a soldered-in blade. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/n7M...

Try the music wire bolt/trigger spring first. These usually yield a substantial improvement and, with the normal wearing in through use, you may not want or need anything else.
