I don't think that's the issue. The issue is having spent a lifetime with many other similar guns that don't have them. I think making them all the same is safer. Just a reminder of where this thread started: Had to shoot a cow that wasn't going to make it the other day so grabbed my brother's last...

Re: one day they will pay, hopefully
I remember when President Reagan sent a bunch of Marines and Navy ships down to Grenada. The Island was under seige by a ruthless band of tyrants who hoped to take over this Island and it's govt. The US had quite a few students down there going to school. I don't remember all the particulars, but I...

Seems like it would be an easy and responsible thing to do to spend at least a token several moments becoming familiar with the operation of your firearm before you use it, lawyer-safety or no. I believe that this is one of the basic tenets of firearms safety. Whether you make the choice to alter yo...

While I personally find the activity destestable, and barely understand the basis for protest, it is just such activity by U.S. citizens that the U.S. military, the Marine Corps included, exists to defend. These strange people have a right, even though they obviously do not understand how or why. Th...

Politics - The Worst Kiss
Ted Kennedy has come out to endorse Barack Obama.
Bill, of course, backs Hillary.
Which do you suppose will be the "Kiss of Death" for either campaign?

Don't worry guys, everything is cyclical. Pretty soon things will go down hill and be so bad that the old values we miss will come back because living by those old values was how folks survived and folks who didn't hold those values didn't survive. My 12 yo son is doing a research paper on why the 50 cal rifle SHOULD BE legal. The 2nd Amendment is not about justifying arms for sporting purposes. Is your front post dove-tailed onto the barrel or onto a screw-on ramp? Mine was on a screw-on ramp, and the XS ramp just replaces that whole Marlin front-sight assembly.
