Have you chrono'd those? They must be smokin' for a plated.
I load 158rn over 6.5gr. Unique and the get 1350 from a 20" Rossi.
I've heard you can strip the plating if you push plated bullets too fast. I assume you haven't had this issue?

Got the old Jeep mostly ready. I was out tinkering with it today and Zoey piled in the passenger seat with a "well let's go" look on her face.
Just had to take her for a ride. She is nuts over the Jeep and gets downright grumpy if the hardtop is on or the doors and windows in.

I find my Rossi 20" .357 just shoots better with a lighter loaded .357 than with .38's.
I use a 158gr plated round nose over 6.5gr. Unique. It gives about 1300fps in a 20" carbine and about 950fps in a 4" revolver.

I hear you Griff. No argument that a diesel has a way better torque curve that is at a much lower rpm. Thats why vehicles that do REAL work are diesels. However, my 5.7 Hemi makes 395hp with 407fp of torque and right now is showing just under 22mpg. Like Six says, if you are constantly pulling heavy...

Yup. I don't want to offend anyone, but "stock car" racing is ridiculous. Hasn't been a race since the 70's IMO. Cars in most cases don't even use the same physics. On the track they are rear drive V8's, on the showroom they are all stupid front wheel drive V6's. I agree with Six on sports...

Most likely, it is a factory re-barrel. There was usually an extra stock of 32WS barrels, so it is a common chambering for a factory job. Depending on when it was done, it will have an oval PW proof mark with another oval above it with just a P. That is where the new barrel was proofed to the rifle....
