I have some and it's super clean burning but it is not equivalent to H110 ... I think it's just an unfortunate numbering. I believe it's a bit faster than 2400 or H110 so you'll need to load down from where you might load those two. I also have some of their N105 ... which is in a good spot for Hor...

Thanks and wow, 26.5grains behind a 200 jsp for 1750fps in a pistol barrel. 22.1 grains behind a 240 jacketed for 1541fps. 44 special loads 2400 powder

Hi gents, anyone have links to higher pressure loads( up to lever action level) in 44 special brass preferably with 2400 powder. Any bullet weights 200-240+ grains, JHP and cast. Purpose is two extra shots in the magazine of my rossi 92. Starline says their brass is good for lever action pressures.

I only own 2 centrefires, a 223 wby vanguard and a Rossi 92 in 44 mag which does the most work. For subsonics I run 200gn gold dots, they are about the the lowest velocity expanding bullet around, down to 800's fps impact. Also have my 'SMG load' for around the homestead which equates to original 44...

easy question for me, a 44 mag rossi 92. That and a 223 wby vanguard are my only centrefires and the 44 sees the most use. It handles hogs and other varmints from subsonics to full power loads.

Anyone run real heavy bullets in their 44mags? I know its not real practical but have an urge to try some. Was even considering rebarreling a rossi 44mag to tight twist as a subsonic thumper. 400 grains is probably a case of diminishing returns but there is something intriguing about a pistol bullet...

I dont shoot deer but shot hogs with a 357 mag rossi and158xtp. things fell over pretty fast out to 100 yards when bullet starts out at 1850-1900fps. I shot a few at close to 150 yards- as range gets out there they run further but retained velocity is still similar to some 357 pistol loads at muzzle...

A soft cast HP at subsonic speeds will do what you want but not only will you need to reload, you will also need to cast your own bullets.
