Add a half days food dried food, currency and copies of ID to your list doc and it pretty much equates the grab bags we had on jobs in the 3rd world. Light, handy, so it makes weight/storage limits on rescue vehicles/airlifts, also semi-disposable since if your vehicle is broken into or you have to ...

Fellas, how far back does it go? Also for someone in the late 19th century, if they didnt reload, was there a benefit to picking up expended brass? Is there a scenario it could it be sold back to a store for return to factories?

Running some of my 44 special dummy rounds through the rossi for the first time, it functioned them as fast as I could work the lever. Was quite happy until I examined the bullets . Bryan, can I ask if there are any load data using 2400 powder to get to that HV power in rifle length barrels? I'm interested in this as it would also apply to a 44 mag rifle. Im looking at either running stout loads of unique or power pistol to get there, or lesser loads of 2400. Not sure how low 2...

Fellas wondering how the HV loads for the 44-40 that came out in the early 1900's were viewed by hunters? By HV I mean the 1500fps odd loads with 200 grain bullets. Was the 44-40 still quite popular in this period and these loads considered great new medicine? Or was its popularity dropping off and...

I have used that bullet on deer. I had it loaded in a 44-40 ahead of 10gr. of Unique for about 1500fps in a 20" carbine. I shot a couple deer with this load with excellent results. One was a nice 185lb 8pt at about 70 yards. I recovered the bullet from a small hemlock behind the deer. In retro...

I really like the XTP bullet. But the only one I have used in the .44 mag is the 240 gr version. Yes Rossis are still 1:30 in all calibres. Id personally love a faster twist on 1892's, just for slow loads with heavy bullets. Regards Taylors are they Italian made chiappas?
