Re: Which Tang Sight would fit my Rifle?

The sight has a bigger screw HEAD not a bigger screw. You will also get another tang screw as the original will be too short. The new one might be a bit long. Grind it to the correct length which will be known after you try it out.

Re: My new love...the 22 Short

I know about it but it only stabilized in my Mountie and I've never shot anything with it. You have to be especially careful about that in a suppressed gun; my Ruger 96/22 levergun wears an integrally-suppressed 10/22 barrel (Thompson Machine 'Operative'), and the literature that came with it says ...

Re: Advice needed on Lil'Gun and 32-20 load development.

Like H110/W296 I think Lil'Gun is a max effort powder. Based on my experience with it I wouldn't use it for anything else. It should work in the .32-20, but we're talking loads that approach the .30 Carbine in performance.

That's just my 2 cents...

I'd do what Tim says. That said, I used the old Remington 240 gr. SJHP on hogs in CA with zero problems. I don't see a need to make a .44 Mag rifle a .444 Marlin, buy a .444 Marlin if you need one.

You have to remember that the Lightning was designed around tapered cases, like the .44 WCF, not straight cases. I think that would help function. It was also designed around BP and so, no matter what steel is used now, a user ought to take that into consideration. The original guns had some problem...

That can be caused by the barrel locking bolt not fully inserting back in the frame when the barrel is closed.
