I have good luck with Ballistol. I store them in my humid basement. Never an issue. I also store my primers in the basement and have not noticed any degradation. I thought my primers would be toast after the humidity of many past summers. No issues. I find that a little surprising. 1886.

Yes, a Honda QA50. Very slow. A gently used German made Sun Downer. 2 cycle, pull start, auto tranny. I purchased that bike with my paper route $$. Very nice bike. Re: Carving a .45-70 blackpowder chamber
If the original 95 was chambered for the .45.90, I don't know, it seems logical from a manufacturing cost point of view, to use one receiver for the various, offered chamberings. I am shooting from the hip, though. You may consider dropping Mic McPherson a line. He does a lot of work on modern Marli...

Re: Marlin 35 Rem barrel with 220 gr Speers?
I'd think the 180's are probably better deer bullets at their higher velocities. I live in grizzly country though, so am looking at the heavier bullets. All that I've been able to learn indicates the 220's are pretty tough bullets. If the 180's will give similar penetration, they may be fine also, ...

Re: Marlin 35 Rem barrel with 220 gr Speers?
.. why rechamber to .356 Win.? I understand wanting something different. I do not believe you will see any meaningful difference in velocity and if your Marlin is accurate, which it probably is, there is no guarantee that the rechambered rifle will shoot a s well. The .35 Rem. is a killer as it is....

They work great. I believe Buffalo Bore ammo co. pushes them to approx. 2200 FPS. I have loaded very close to that velocity in a "more modern" Marlin 336 .35 Rem. Case capacity became a challenge for me. I believe Remington brass has slightly greater capacity. I do have a question for you,...

I am considering a Taurus M92 stainless in .357 that I have found at a Pawn Shop near work. The barrel length is 16" and the price is $599. Does anyone know if the Taurus will reliably feed .38 Special, or is it sensitive to the OAL like the Rossi M92s are? I am not really serious about gettin...

The bore on my Rossi 92 manufactured in the early 1980s (they call it a model 65) measures .429. It wears a .44 mag barrel. I am confident Rossi did this to ease manufacturing costs. This suits me just fine as there are plenty of properly sized projectiles available. As stated by others, only way to...
