There will be 150 produced and best of all - they will have 24" barrels. If you are a potential collector - don't miss out. Same goes if you are a fan of the caliber. Browning only seems to do these specials on a very limited basis.

My JD that I mentioned in the earlier post is the 3032 Model w/ a fixed front bucket. I also have turf tires. I use mine for mowing (bush hog), garden work, food plots (commercial mechanical tiller) and anything else that comes up. I like it a lot.

I really like the BLR 30-06 and highly recommend them. They are accurate, but the two stocks you mention are the only ones currently available. The issue sounds like some kind of build up in the chamber. If it did it w/o ammo present, it could be a foreign object in the action - but you have already ruled that out.

Not neccessarily. All fired cases expand some (chamber fit if you will) and if there is some build up in the chamber, dry firing will not disclose it. I can help, but I need to ask some questions. Fiddler, Before you polish, try this. Fire a round and (if it is acting like it is going to be difficult), cock the hammer manualy and then work the lever. I have had problems with the ML Powerbelts and have witnessed others have the same. No expansion. I have had problems with Winchester ammo, in 30-30 and 300 WinMag. Same problem - no expansion. Most shots were very close. Only one shot was at 100 yards and that was with the Ranger? (I believe) line....

I support the above comments. Stay with the standard LA or SA calibers and you will be real happy. Cailber choice would be determined by what you plan to do with it - hunt with it. The available takedown feature is real nice also.

Just a note about buying guns in the Tampa/St. Pete areas. There is/was a three day waiting period on long guns in those two counties, even at gun shows. I went to a show in Tampa once, never again. That is probably one reason the Lakeland show has so many good private collections for sale.

All of mine are loaded w/ the 150 gr. Remington Core Lokt this year. I have some Federal and Hornady that are probably every bit as good, but the Core Lokt has always performed well (very well) for me.

Hobie, that caliber was kind of slow getting tried/accepted around here, but it has now taken off and is gathering quite a lot of fans.
