Re: Watch your backstop when shooting...

Sadly that's more the norm with police involved shootings. I believe it is simply the fact that most cops are NOT gun guys and the only shooting they do is to qualify every 6 months. Back in the 80s part of our state police force trained at our range. Being teenagers we were kind of in awe and we g...

My first lever was a .444 Marlin (used to read Don Pendelton's MACK BOLAN in high school) Great gun until I got into the 45-70s. I gave it to my nephew when he wanted a Bear gun for WV.

Shotguns were issued to me from 1977 until 2022 when I retired from my last contract. I only have the 20-inch and the 16. In .44 Mag, .357, and .45 both are pretty handy but the 16-inch is probably my favorite.

After reading a couple of other responses I will admit I have Red dots or optics on almost all of my leverguns. Even my Co-Pilot has an Aimpoint Patrol rifle optic.

I watched all of the Band of Brothers in one sitting on a day off in Africa in 2003. It was the last time, I guess I am due. They were still teaching Lt Winters tactics on the gun positions in IOBC (Infantry Officers Basic Course) in 1987 when I went through it.
