One word . . . . Organization!! Without it you have randomness and chaos. If you know where to find what you need, life is very relaxing and enjoyable. If you can't find things it makes for a frustrating and irritating exercise in futility. Anal you say? Not hardly. Organized!! for an enjoyable expe...

At almost 76 hunting is in the past, however, when I go on my 'woods walking' hikes in the Rockies, I load it up as a 10mm with either 180grn or 200grn hardcast hot loads. So, with the 2rd extension, I have 17+1 rds of hurt on my hip to protect from anything whether it be 2 or 4 legged. In the Rocki...

Re: Reloading for auto loaders
Something to consider. If you want to regularly shoot reduced loads consider a reduced power recoil spring. That way you'll keep the reliable feeding with reduce loads. I know that Strike Industries and Wolff Gunsprings sell them for many pistols. I have a custom longslide Glock I developed in 2004 ...

Yep Sixgun, my 2ea .357mag Rossis are cheap junk. I've only run about 8K rds through each since 2009 when I got them, they can't hit a bowling pin at 400yds but they can at 300 and 200, they both feed .38spl and .357mag smooth as glass and they're so unreliable that I've not had a single problem wit...

Re: I think I like this Ammo Company...
The pricing for even 8 bags (2,000 rds) of reloaded training ammo is comparable to what I can buy new commercial training ammo for on the web. For instance, 2,000 rds of .40 cal 180grn FMJ at $115 equals $345 per K or 34.5¢ per rd for reloads with dubious history. On Ammoseek I can buy new Wincheste...

Re: What are your thoughts on these velocities
Standard pistol powders are formulated to burn very quickly as the assumption is that they are being used in barrels under 6"-7". So, the performance out of a barrel 3 times the length won't be that different as the powder isn't made for a long barreled use. However, magnum pistol powders ...

It's always nice when a plan works out good. Are you going to do any tweaking on your load or stick with what you've got? ATF Now Proposing Rule to Require Registering Powder Storage!
ATF now proposed that we register with local fire dept our reloading powder storage. Next it will be primers, then ammo, then bullets, then brass so they'll know just what to bring when they try to confiscate it on some trumped up charge. The commies are circling in and tightening the noose. I'd hat...
