That Marauder's and those new Davidson's tappers are cool and will be worth much more .
Spikehorns are fairly common around here. Haven't seen a Marauder in ten years.

I remeber I blasted a nuthatch with my .410 in front of my Dad. Didn't see any guns for the rest of the summer.

Can't have too many.
I have three of the Lyman manuals and still use them all.
I added the Speer manual to my shelf last fall.
Still need the Hornady. Only one I don't have and
probably shoot more of their bullets than
anyone else's.

Photos aside. That looks like a really sharp Winchester.
I never thought of stripping that nasty finish off the reciever.
I passed up on a beat up T.R. ( if I remember right) because of the
tacky nickle finish on the receiver. Have to keep that in mind.

Amazinly accurate pistols. Uses the same roller lock principle as the German G3. Real pain to remove the barrel but once you figure it out it gets easier. That's the great thing about surplus guns. I can't imagine losing a child. I had a cousin pass in his sleep at 33 for unknown reasons.
Even at 33 I think it aged my Aunt and Uncle ten years over night.
Fifteen years later there's still a sadness about them.

You should be careful with the FCD when using it on cartridges that headspace on the mouth of the case, like the 45 ACP. A little too much crimp and you're going to have issues when the case mouth slips in the chamber too far. A light taper crimp is all that's needed on those types of rounds. That'...

I have a Marlin 94P / .44 mag with 16" barrel that's ported. I really didn't notice a difference between that and a 94S / 45 Colt and 16" barrel. Sounds like a good deal on a nice gun to me. If you want muzzle blast try a Soviet SVT-40. Now that's a muzzle break that will really P-off the ...
