I know change is never good, but there are plenty of powders that work just fine in .30-30, and probably are available. I've used 3031, 4064, and Reloader 7 just to name a few.

I think the last person I heard use the word "lustrums" was Rooster Cogburn. I think at the time he was carrying a Colt in .45, but his load was probably BP.

I have only loaded comfortable target loads for my .45, but I'm going to try a couple of those 2400 loads in my Rossi and Blackhawk.

I've been spending some extra time at the loading bench loading what brass I have in any caliber. No downside there, good winter therapy and if worse doesn't comes to worst I'm well equipped to spend happy time at the range.

Interesting, I wonder how well that launch systems works with a full load of fuel and weapons.

I can't see it handling a range of airframes like back when we packed everything from A-4's to RA-5C's, we don't carry as many now, but still way more than one airframe.

I think you're right about Midway, not sure, but heard they've had noise issues with neighbors. That drive's me crazy. When people build near places that make noise, then complain it's hard to be sympathetic.

The ammo mfgs must love 5 stand. Since you get two shots at the single on each station it almost guarantees you'll at least open another box of shells. I'm sure I've been through there but don't remember it specifically. Used to race in Montezuma a couple times each winter so I was in the area.
