Six asked for some pics of my boy's adventures in Alaska. I know he wanted "work pics", but I thought I'd start with a couple off topic hunting pics from this past fall. His buddy is from Utah (he was in the CG video too) that he is hunting with. They hiked about 7 miles back in and are hu...

With looming new laws and restrictions, I doubt the manufacturers will add huge amounts of capacity. Right now, they have high demand with guaranteed sales. The wiser business choice would be to make minimal production increases via overtime, raise prices, and put away the increased capital. Unless ...

When I was a kid, my dad owned one rifle. It was a circa 1920 model 94 eastern carbine. Everyone else I knew had a 94 in 30-30 too. The exception was my grandfather, who had a 64 in 30-30. Beautiful! I have a bunch of German stuff from the war that relatives picked up. No guns.
I traded for a 1939 S/42 Luger and a nice issue holster when I was in high school. I had it for a while and sold it to fund something else.
I've always wanted another, along with a k98, to go with my other stuff.

For me, I love the look of honest wear on a quality firearm. That said, it has to be well cared for. I don't like pitting, damaged wood, or uncared for internals or bores. Every gun has a "feel". For me, it has little to do with finish, but if it doesn't have quality, it doesn't matter wha...

First off, I think the repros are great. If you want to shoot the older designs and don't have a boatload of cash, they allow you to enjoy them and it keeps the old guns alive. If you prefer originals, then be glad there are repros or the they would be even harder to find. Win, win IMO. As far as th...
