I still haven't got my marlin 1894 in .357. I've been to four gun shows, Cabela's several times and two other gun shops looking for used Marlin's. I am wanting a .357 lever gun that I can mount a scope on for coyote hunting. So I went to a gun shop yesterday to do some looking. I picked up a couple of new Marlin 1894's to look at and was very disapointed. I have a 336 that I have had for years and like it a lot because of scopabilty(is that a ...

357 mag rifle question
I'm thinking about getting something for coyotes on my place. 125 yards is a long shot on my place so I'm thinking a 357 may be enough. Most of my shots will be 50 to 75 yards which is to far for a 12 guage with shot. I could use my 30-30 but I would like to have something that burns less powder. My...

I shaped the stock from a plank. I have done a couple of precarves but I don't care for them. You can't always get exactly what you want and the ramrod grooves aren't always where I want them.

If your talking practical. Why do you own a .357, 30 WCF, and 45-70 in lever guns? The bolt actions of today are stronger and more practical. They (bolt guns) are chambered in more practical calibers. I want a 99 Savage in .300 is it practical, not really. I could get a bolt gun in .308 and be more ...
