I just checked my 99C . It has zero trigger movement and no creep at all and around a 4 1/2 pound trigger.

I've never had one apart. But mine has no trigger creep or movement at all when cocked. So I don't know if you have a weak trigger spring.

Nath I pan fry them too. I also will throw the breast in the crock pot and simmer all afternoon with various spices and a sliced up apple.

Also have you ever tried the sierra 125 grain hollow points 30- 30 on varmits. Just curious what bullet you usually use on the smaller game.

KWK, I agree about what pressure the bearcat can handle. Thats why I'm curiuos how many chambers the cylinder has , how much steel is between each chamber.

KWK , 32 H&R pressure was held down because of the strength of H&R pistols. In a Ruger single six frame it can be loaded alot hotter than load books show.

I started with the Lee manuel . Easy to read and straight forward . I also liked that most loads listed pressure info that most books don't. You will always add more reloading books. Start with Lee's and go from there.

Ken Waters states that H4895,3031 and reloader 7 are the best powders. The smallest groups were made with 34gr of H4895,then 32gr of 3031,and 29 gr of reloader 7. I use 34 gr of H4895. These are with170gr bullets at 2200fps.

The local shop has one in 223 ,asking $340 which is to much . One at the gunshow in 222 for $299 . So I would say he is the ballpark . I liked the rifle , but it isn't a light wieght by any means. Heavy for the caliber.

I didn't think about doing that way Steve. That seems to be the way to regulate it the best. I just need to pick a bullet weight and load before I think about getting the sights tuned in. I found H110 to be more consistant than Unique. Probably because it meters better.

Belt sander in a vise works great. Tape the stock, mark it where you want it cut and take it to work. I bet there is someone at work with a power miter box saw that would be glad to cut it.

I'm using a gun rest on a cloudy day. I'm verifying it's the gun not me. Used the same set up before I sent it in and after. I don't think they index the barrel . I'm pretty sure they tweaked the front blade by all the marks on it.

Doesn't the 35 rem take different carrier,bolt and extractor because of case dimentions. More money to make it work. If you stick with 30-30 case family no head aches to make it run.

Winchester list their 200 gr at 2490 fps. If you load your own you could get another 75fps. And if you go with the 180 grain you start pushing 2700 fps which the same as a 30-06 180 grain.

The 750 auto has nice fit and finish . They make a carbine with the short barrel which is much handier than the rifle.
