According to Ruger's website if they do the conversion for you they will return all the old parts with it. that way no collector's value is lost.

I had full moons for my 1917 and loved them. I think about a 625 from time to time as I just love wheel guns. If you have the little tool that comes with them they are a cinch. Without the tool you can still use a pocket sized screwdriver or a dowel rod for removing empties. I used to work with a gu...

My dad had a shadow box that I'd forgotten about until I saw this post. His was for an 1860 Army Colt. it was built to hang on a wall and the front was on a hinge to gain access. It had one dowel that came out of the back for the trigger. The vertical side had another dowel to fit down the barrel to...

AN OLD MAN WAS GROCERY SHOPPING WITH HIS GRANDSON. THE TODDLER WAS CRYING AND AT TIMES SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS. AS THE OLD GENTLEMAN WALKED UP AND DOWN THE AISLES, PEOPLE COULD HEAR HIM SPEAKING IN A SOFT VOICE... "WE ARE ALMOST DONE, ALBERT.. TRY NOT TO CRY, ALBERT.. LIFE WILL GET BE...

When we were shopping for my son's rifle someone told us to remember your A,B,C's in that order. Armalite, Bushmaster, and Colt. After reading Jeff Quinn's article he got a Bushy. No problems with it here. Magazines do make a difference and they ain't a buck a piece any more, dang it! back in the 70...

Winston Churchill ? I know one time he was arguing a point in Parliament and he quoted some statistics that were way out of line with what they should have been. OT- Another computer question
With what we've been talking about in another post about not being able to view leverguns and other sites from a "work" computer I have a question. Not that I'm "up" to anything, but I was just wondering if it would be possible to put some kind of an aux. hard drive on a laptop a...

I just saw a blurb on the morning news about shootings in what Denver? The thing that just got brushed over was the fact that the gunman was killed by a church member with a gun. The pastor was speaking and it seems that the church members has put in place a security detail of sorts to deal with jus...

When I was four I cut my right index finger all the way to the tendon. The surgeon had to reattach the tendon as it was cut as well. For therapy he had my dad buy me a western two gun rig. That way I would exercise both fingers at the same time. Man that was a long time ago, I'd almost forgotten all...

There's a gun shop not far from me where the owner just had to have one of the new .300 WSM's. He lost a really nice buck last year because he shot too close in, according to him. He said the bullet just blew up on impact. Even at the time I had to tell him that if he were shootin an old .30-30 he'd...

A little history lesson: If you don't know the answer make your best guess. Answer all the questions before looking at the answers. Who said it? [You will be shocked by the answers.] 1) "We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good." A. Karl Marx B. Adolph Hitler C...
