Just bought a couple hundred rounds of 357 from Starline have some 44 spl too. Hope I don't have that problem with mine. I have plenty of 44 spl in Winchester brass but am light on .357 mag and it's hard to find any right now.

There should be a spring to keep pressure on the trigger so it stays in correct location to catch the half cock and full cock notches when the hammer is pulled back. Ed that's odd about the eggs. My dad grew up in Kentucky and he said his parents used eggs for barter in their community. No one had much money for anything but they bartered for things needed to live.

I'm really confused. I'm guessing the guy that I talked to in customer service doesn't know much about bullet casting and Lyman's bullet line styles. I had two molds that cast boolits to small. One was a 429421 and a 358477. I contacted Lyman and they said they could recut my molds to a larger size....

Maybe Six will know someone that has parts. I could age one up but not sure how close I could come to matching the color with out the forestock. I know there used to be a place out of Tennessee that had replacement stocks for Winchesters. It's hard to match color of wood from photo's.

Yes there is a lot of fire and force coming out the vent hole. If you are in battle reenactments they make participants use flash guards to keep from burning the guy next to you.

All the Uberti's that I've owned needed .380" balls. You may have older ones from way back but all the ones I've seen in the past fifteen years or so have had the larger bore diameter.

Love the looks of the old Schofield revolvers. I had a chance to buy one when Smith & Wesson did a run on them and passed it up. Has to be one of my biggest regrets in passing up a gun. Let us know how they shoot.

Nice looking Colts. I've heard some guys bad mouth Colt 1911's but both of my Colt's will digest any kind of ammo I feed them. They aren't picky about magazines and look so much better than plastic guns.

I've owned a JM cowboy and one of the old straight grip half mag 95's. I liked the older model the best out of the two, but both would beat the snot out of your shoulder with hot loads. I still have a flinch once in awhile from thirty five years back.

I'm late to the game but I did figure out what they all were without looking. The only one that had me going for a minute was the 300 Savage. After looking at the neck closely and seeing how short it was I knew what cartridge it was. I've owned lever guns myself in all the calibers but 38-55.

My first shot wasn't bad but the second one really hurt for several days. I had my shot recommended to me by my ophthalmologist because of shingles getting in my eye. He isn't working for an hmo or hospital but highly recommended it because of shingles getting in my eye.

That's scary. Photo's like this is what makes me very cautious when using my Dillon 450 press. I could probably load more rounds but I move slow to make sure I don't double charge a round.
