If it can eject a live round, then it seems that you have the C.O.A.L. right. I understand that is a dummy, but there shouldn't be any length differences. Obviously you know this.

Re: Rossi .45 Colt 92 rifle... and hot loads

Looked up a bit of data. Ruger only loads in .45 Colt usually go no more than 30,000 CUP. Approximately 30,000 psi. DO NOT QUOTE ME, look it up yourself and follow published data. I would feel safe using Ruger only loads in a rifle which handles .480 Ruger and 454 Casull. Work up carefully and have ...

Re: Rossi .45 Colt 92 rifle... and hot loads

.480 Ruger was made by Rossi. They run to a maximum of 48,000 psi. Honestly, that pressure is not necessary for most critters, but it is nice to know that you can get there if something big and dangerous needs to be whacked. That psi would be pretty hot in a .45 Colt caliber, but it certainly means ...

I just looked at my notes. 9x 57 rimmed is what I was looking at. Less power and less pressure. A 20 gauge shotgun action is not really strong enough for much more. I have something in a combo for when I want to launch 400 grains at 1300 fps.
