Aransas Pass has gunshow next weekend. Any of you Members going? I found a a T/C New Englander.54 for $99 and a .32 H&R Single Six fir under $500 so far on the way down. Stopped at Grafs and Sons in Missouri. Walked around an old dilapidated CCC camp in Arkansas for an hour or so.

.22 Carbine, 5.7mm Johnson Spitfire and a few others I cant remeber. Always wanted a .22 Carbine in a Contender Carbine. Equals a 22 Hirnet but with stronger cheaper and more plentiful brass.

Im seeing anywhere from 6-13grs Unique for 180gr cast or jacketed.

G-K 16 and 20 gauge bolts are plentiful here and go for $175-250. I wont pay more than $125 if its nice. 410's are usually always $200 or more. AND speaking of Archery, have you ever watched Survival Lilly on youtube?

People walk in all the time and say a 30/30 cant be shot at 200 yards because it drops so much. Also tell me it wont even go 400 yards! That you are better off throwing rocks than using a 30/30 past 100 yards. Or their grandpa, dad brother friend or other 3rd party shot a record size buck 5 times an...

I found some! My 1992 Hercules reloading Pamphlet shows a 300gr XTP-HP with 6.8grs Unique @ 12,000 c.u.p. for 690fps out of a 7.3" barrel..... Todd/3leg

I always wondered what Hornady 180gr RN meant for the '06 would do at 30/30 velocities fir expansion and penetration. Yes I kniw about 190gr .303 Savage bullets.

I've had this thought for the last 3 months or so, i wanna get a 4" barrel or shorter 460 S&W revolver and shoot 300-400gr cast bullets out of it at 750-950fps. I could also make my own full length brass shotshells for it too. So it wouldmt be completely useless for other than conversation ...

Mini-14 are way over gassed. I was shooting a 50gr SP at 2500fps and it was locking the bolt back. Was gonna keep dropping back until 2200fps to see if it worked , but I sold it before I did that. My thinking was a 50 or 55gr SP at 21-2200fps would be a great "magnum" 22 Magnum for walking...

Yeah I found one but, its gonna be a fun bargaining cause he knows I like it.of course nobody wants fixed choked anymore that is only 2 3/4" chambered. Plus I have no patience for the haggling process. Thanks for the info.

Thats a bummer! I been planning to get a 20" 9mm lite weight tapered barrel for my Contender Carbine but the price has gone up to $455 .... Some time you just have to cut your expenses and move on to something else. Todd/3leg

I spent 2 hours looking at the case length, capacity, oal and working pressure for the the 7mm and 300 SAUM, 7mm and 300 WSM along with the 280 Rem AI and 300 RCM..! Don't particularly want any of them, but was curious and bored....
