I peep down the bore if possible and center an object about 50 yards away and move my reticle to the center of said object. This will usually get you on paper at 100. i want a springfield armory ronin 1911, but low on funds. thinking of selling my winchester 1885 .17 wsm low wall with octagon barrel to fund it. i bought it off consignment and never shot it. it still looks like new from factory. no box though.

I hope tyhey improved the rotating lock safety. mine would sometimes spin enough to lock it self, that's how loose it was. nate sells a safety plug to fill that hole.

Take the time to learn where your gun shoots with the ammo you are going to hunt with. DO NOT sight your gun in on the bench!!!! My Win 94 shoots 2"+ to the left off sandbags vs hand held at 100 yards. I've taken 225# deer with the .357. I've never recovered a bullet from a deer, they pass rig...
