On the other hand, I destroyed a nice Remington Sportsman 58 3" shooting steel through it. It was choked full, the steel shot made it an IC and pitted (peened) the whole bore in one box(the first). Newer loadings are supposed to be better but I won't shoot steel in something that is not labeled...

It is somewhat less known but there was a contingent of Sioux code talkers as well. It was smaller than the Navajo group but they saw action too.

They have still seen almost no recognition and I believe that all that served are all deceased now.

I guess the most unusual for me was a Steyr AUG. Select fire, owned by a dealer in such while he was out prairie dog hunting with me. Friend has owned a Barrett since they first came out, but I've never talked him into letting me shoot it, he's promised lots of times but it just never came together....

It says there are only 99 of me, which leads me to question the numbers. I know 5 people with the same name as me in SD and none of them are related. I can look in the "local" phone book and besides me there are 2 and neither are among those I know.

On the way home from shooting prairie dogs yesterday, spotted a coyote in the ditch, jammed the brakes, knew my bolt 223 was empty, got my 1893 out the window but he made it to some corn before I could get a shot off. Too much cover around for coyote hunting now.
