Re: ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT PACO

Seems like the handgun is being purposely allowed to rise back and to the side. Notice exact form in each photo.
Seems a technique to me ,kinda like in Archery where you use a wrist sling allowing bow to drop forward after shot.

An accuracy technique

Please explain breech seating , I'm assuming the bullet is just seated by itself against the throat. Is there a tool that holds it centered to chamber? And controls depth of engagement?

Yeah the size makes them a short but may be an option.
I had planned to turn a few brass cases with counterbore for 22 wrf case and powder and lyman 65 grain .

Also contacted CCI again as there was a report they planned to do a run .If enough people ask them they might do it.

You can actually reload those spent case with one of the .22 reloading kits . Lyman makes the correct 65 grain mold.

I plan to try both they say the .25 rimfire is the king of rimfires.
Fiocchi makes 25 rimfire animal slaughter cartridges in bulk but can't find anywhere to get them.

Not sure about the Navy. But the Army defiantly benefits from a taller front sight. As they were for horse soldiers sighted to 60 plus yards.

For handling and packing the 4 3/4" ,but for all around use the 5 1/2" for me . Obviously the longer the sight radius the more accurate it will be .But your only talking couple inch variance. I can shoot my Ruger single six in 4 5/8" just as accurate as my 6 1/2" Colt New Frontie...

Sad thing Colt's retail is $1799 and any dealers lucky enough to snag one are charging $700-$2000 over retail and getting it.

I've never paid retail for any new firearm and don't intend to start.

Colt SAA Price in 1971

Does anyone remember the average price paid for a new 2nd gen SAA in 1971 ? I know retail was $190. Colt worked off a 18-36% wholesale price depending on how many were purchased .

Currently the average price paid is far more than inflation rate due to supply / demand.
