Very nice looking 94! For me having that old Redfield on the 94 would increase the value & i dont have a problem putting a sling on the swivels, the Redfield is maybe 50s? not sure but i do have a few of them Brad +1 and congrats! My flat band came with the Redfield 2x barrel mounted scope/base...

I've read of instances where some Commemorative models weren't well fitted at the factory and can use some improvement in timing, etc. I wouldn't let that deter me from acquiring one tho'. I'll be getting an aftermarket base pin ASAP, and eventually have a full tuneup done. All my other six-shooter...

Decades ago Commemoratives, and specials were really bargains. Often much less than a regular SAA from the same year. I remember back 30 years ago my buddy wanted a SAA and they were selling used around $1000 for nice examples that weren't that old. He found a Commemorative at a gun show we were at...

Been window shopping for a couple years, really hoping for a 1st Gen, but gave up due to sticker shock. Found this on line by a dealer two hours away. Unfired NRA Centennial from 1971 in .45. It won't be unfired much longer.

I snagged a WWI era small ring in 8mm that appears to have been sporterized in Europe somewhere. My gunsmith thinks it may be a "guild gun" built by an apprentice. Light weight and handles like a dream. Still need to let blood with it.

Very neat. That's a hot looking rimfire round. Sort of a 25 magnum. One of my locals has one in 25 RF, but I assume it is the standard version. I think I'll take a closer look now.

Sorry if my engaging in hyperbole led to confusion. I did not mean to infer that the new Blackhawks don't have "real" blueing, or that they have the same treatment as the Wrangler. Only that it doesn't "look like" real blueing to me. More like blacking. This is nothing new.
